My Heart Skipped a Beat

AUTHOR

Mary Elizabeth Kakuk

I am a proud mom of a young man who served in the U.S. Army Special Forces and is now an engineer in Arizona. My greatest joy is being a born-again Christian and living in a close, personal relationship with Jesus Christ—one filled with freedom, joy, and purpose rather than religion.

My Heart Skipped A Beat

A heartfelt memoir of love, loss, and resilience. From New Year’s Eve 2015 in McKinney, Texas, to navigating life as a widow and single mother, Kakuk shares intimate reflections on family, self-discovery, and the enduring power of cherished memories.
